Cast Detail: Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn

Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn is soon to make her screen debut as a lead in Steve McQueen’s London-set anthology series Small Axe for the BBC and Amazon Prime Video, set to be released later this year. These collections of original films tell the story of London’s West Indian Community. St. Aubyn will star as the lead of her chapter, “Lovers Rock” alongside Micheal Ward, which was chosen to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and New York Film Festival. The film unfolds during a blues party in the early 1980s and tells a story of young love. Steve McQueen has dedicated the series of films to George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.

As a result of her strong debut performance in “Lovers Rock,” St. Aubyn has been recognized as one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ for 2020.
