Quique is entrusted with leading the politics of Empty Spain in a village in Teruel, but he doesn't even know where to start. He is faced alone with a town willing to take him for a ride with his modern proposals and, as if this was not enough, he soon discovers that sending him there is a plan by his girlfriend and the leader of his party to be together. He can only count on his goodwill and on Lourdes, the barmaid, who wants to prevent the poor man from continuing to make a fool of himself and to make him understand that the key to his success lies in learning to listen to his new neighbors.

Un hípster en la España vacía is a comedy based on the book of the same name by Daniel Gascón, and it will be directed by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro (Spanish Affair, The Other Side of the Bed). In the film, produced by LAZONA, Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson serves as producer and Daniel Castro as executive producer and screenwriter.
