Prime Video has achieved record-breaking international success for two of its most recent international Original title launches, with feature films My Fault (Culpa Mía, Spain) and Medellin (Medellín, France) becoming the biggest travelling non-English language local Original titles in Prime Video history. The movies, which launched in the last two weeks in 240 countries and territories around the world simultaneously – have set a new bar for Prime Video streams of non-English language content, hot on the heels of the global success of Prime Video’s Argentinian original movie Argentina 1985, which earlier this year was an Academy Award Best International Film Nominee and Golden Globe Award Best International Film Winner. Prime subscribers in the U.S. can enjoy offers, free shipping and entertainment all in one subscription for just $14.99 per month or $139 per year.

Following its worldwide release on June 8, Spanish local Original My Fault has become the biggest travelling non-English language movie launch in Prime Video history. The film, based on Mercedes Ron's best-selling Culpables book trilogy, was the number one movie worldwide on Prime Video during its opening weekend, and since launch has ranked in the top 10 most watched titles in over 190 countries, including US, UK, Australia, India, Argentina, and France. Medellin, which follows a young YouTuber fascinated by Pablo Escobar, launched on June 2 and is the second biggest launch of a non-English language movie ever watched in more than 170 countries internationally including UK, US, Spain, Mexico, Germany and Italy. Both titles have more than 75% of their viewing coming from outside their country of origin (Spain for My Fault, France for Medellin).

About My Fault
From director and screenwriter Domingo Gonzalez, My Fault is
based on Mercedes Ron’s best-selling Culpables book trilogy (Culpa mía, Culpa tuya, Culpa nuestra) and stars Nicole Wallace, Gabriel Guevara, Marta Hazas and Iván Sánchez.

Noah (Nicole Wallace) has to leave her town, boyfriend and friends behind and move into the mansion of William Leister (Iván Sánchez), her mother’s (Marta Haza) new rich husband. Seventeen years old, proud and independent, Noah resists living in a mansion surrounded by luxury. There, she meets Nick (Gabriel Guevara), her new stepbrother, and the clash of their strong personalities becomes evident from the very beginning. Noah soon discovers that behind the image of a model son, Nick hides a life of fighting, gambling and illegal car racing – exactly what she has always run away from.

Despite the abyss between them, both begin to feel an irresistible attraction that will soon turn into pure fire and unbridled passion. Neither the ongoing rivalry, nor the opposition of those around them can prevent them from falling secretly and madly in love. But Nick's turbulent present and Noah's stormy past will put to a test both their lives and their forbidden love.

My Fault is produced by Pokeepsie Films (Veneciafrenia, 30 Coins, The bar), with Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang as producers.

About Medellin
Medellin
is based on an original idea of Franck Gastambide (Pattaya, Taxi 5, Validé) and co-written by Gastambide and co-writer Charles Van Thieghem.  It is produced by Mandarin & Compagnie, directed by and stars Gastambide in the lead role alongside French stars Ramzy Bedia (La Tour Montparnasse Infernale), Anouar Toubali (Pattaya), Brahim Bouhlel (Validé), Raymond Cruz (Breaking Bad), and Essined Aponte (S.W.A.T.) plus a special appearance from one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, Mike Tyson (The Hangover).

Medellin follows Pablito, a young YouTuber fascinated by Pablo Escobar, who makes his dream come true by flying to Medellín in Colombia to walk in the notorious drug lord’s footsteps. A few days later, a video is posted on social media, showing that Pablito has been kidnapped by a group of dangerous Narcos. He will only be released for a substantial ransom… but the Narcos are not aware that Pablito has a big brother who will come up with a crazy masterplan: putting together a team of underdogs, going head-to-head with the Cartel members in Colombia in order to get his little brother home safe and sound.
