On television, Madden also starred in the lead role of ‘Cosimo de Medici’ alongside Dennis Hoffman in the Netflix series Medici: Masters of Florence, directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan. He achieved critical acclaim in the Discovery Channel original mini-series Klondike, and appeared in the BBC film Lady Chatterley’s Lover, based on the classic novel by D.H. Lawrence. He is perhaps best known for his compelling performance as ‘Robb Stark’ in the acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones.
On film, Madden co-starred opposite Idris Elba in Bastille Day, directed by James Watkins. He also starred as ‘Prince Charming’ opposite Lily James in Disney’s live-action adaption Cinderella, directed by Kenneth Branagh.
In 2016, Madden starred as ‘Romeo’ opposite Lily James in the West End stage production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Kenneth Branagh. The stage production was later seen in cinemas.
