He will next star in the critically acclaimed Amazon Original series Modern Love, created by John Carney, based on the weekly New York Times column. Pais made his feature film debut in Noah Baumbach's feature Margot at the Wedding. He will next appear in Daniel Pearle and Eric Steel's independent feature, Minyan, which premiered at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival and was nominated for the Best First Feature Award.

Pais has made a name for himself on the New York Theatre scene. He most recently starred in Richard Greenberg's The Perplexed at MTC.
