Matt Shakman is currently directing Fantastic Four for Marvel Studios. He previously produced and directed WandaVision for Marvel (Emmy nominations, Directing for a Limited Series and Best Limited Series; DGA nomination, Directing for a Limited Series). Recent work includes helming pilots for an Untitled Godzilla project for Apple/Legendary (featuring Kurt Russell), The Consultant for Prime Video (starring Christoph Waltz) and Welcome to Chippendales for Hulu (featuring Kumail Nanjiani). Shakman also helmed the pilot episode for Hulu’s The Great (Emmy nomination, Directing for a Comedy Series) starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. Other notable work includes It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Game of Thrones (DGA nomination). Shakman is also a theatre director and just concluded a six-year run as the artistic director of the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.
