British Chinese director, Wayne Che Yip is currently directing and co-executive producing Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings in New Zealand. Most recently, Wayne directed episodes of the new epic fantasy series Wheel of Time for Amazon and before that worked with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions directing episodes of Hunters, staring Al Pacino. His prior credits include the first Doctor Who New Years special starring Jodie Whittaker, multiple episodes of Preacher for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg at AMC, and Happy! featuring Chris Meloni and a flying unicorn. Early in his career in the UK, Wayne directed on multiple premium cable and broadcast shows as part of a directing team with Alex Garcia Lopez, working on titles such as Utopia, Misfits, and Secret Diary of a Call Girl for HBO.
