David Weil is the Creator, Executive Producer and Showrunner of the Amazon Original series Hunters starring Al Pacino and Logan Lerman, and Executive Produced by Jordan Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions. Hunters Season Two premiered January 13, 2023 and at time of release became Prime Video’s #1 Series in the U.S.
Weil also created the Amazon Original series Solos, a dramatic and thought-provoking anthology series that explores the deeper meaning of human connection. Weil was the Executive Producer and Showrunner, and also made his directorial debut, helming three of the seven episodes.
Weil is currently writing, Executive Producing and showrunning Citadel, a groundbreaking global spy series from Prime Video and Anthony & Joe Russo’s AGBO, starring Priyanka Chopra Jones, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. The series is set to premiere this year.
Furthermore, Weil is collaborating with the Russo Brothers on an untitled eight-episode series about the FTX scandal. He is set to write the pilot and executive produce for Prime Video.
Weil is also the Co-Creator, alongside Simon Kinberg, and Executive Producer of the global alien invasion epic Invasion at Apple.
On the feature side, Weil is currently writing Extraction 3 for AGBO and Netflix. He adapted the New Yorker article Operation Delirium for Jennifer Lawrence. He’s rewritten Bird Box for Netflix and director Susanne Bier. He has also co-written an untitled feature with Darren Aronofsky, with details under wraps. Hailing from Long Island, David currently lives in Los Angeles.
