Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Kristin Kreuk began acting in plays in high school but focused primarily on her schoolwork rather than the stage. Fate came calling at the beginning of her senior year when a casting director looking for new talent for the Canadian series Edgemont tapped Kreuk for a starring role. It was her first professional audition.

In The CW drama Beauty and The Beast, Kreuk starred for four seasons as Detective Catherine “Cat” Chandler, also serving as one of the show’s producers.
In addition to becoming a face of Neutrogena for six years, Kreuk performed a cameo in the film Eurotrip, opposite Matt Damon; starred in the miniseries Earthsea, opposite Isabella Rossellini; and starred in the Canadian feature Partition, opposite Jimi Mistry. Most recently, she served as star and executive producer on four seasons of Burden of Truth for the CBC and the CW.
Kreuk currently resides in Toronto and, when she’s not working, enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with friends.
