The series takes place in a not-so-distant future, when the beautiful state of Rio de Janeiro is falling apart – literally. The state's fund is completely empty, and the country as a whole is not doing much better either: there are no more books, professors, publishers or press. In the midst of all this chaos, an influencer averse to taking responsibility decides to run for governor of Rio as a prank and ends up getting elected. Now, with the help of her team, she will occupy one of the highest positions in the Republic—even though she doesn't know the difference between governor and mayor.
