Ace Bhatti has starred in a number of critically acclaimed productions. Namely, the most recent season of the police procedural drama Line of Duty as PCC Rohan Sindwhani. Not shying away from important and hard abuse scandal dramas, Bhatti starred in BBC One’s Three Girls based on The Rochdale child sexual abuse scandal. Described by critics as powerful and important, played Nazir Afzal, former Chief Crown Prosecutor for the North West alongside Bafta-winning Molly Windsor, Lesley Sharpe and Maxine Peake. The harrowing drama won Best Mini-Series at the Bafta Television Awards in 2018. Bhatti has also been featured on the big screen, most recently as Freddie Mercury’s father, Bomi Bulsara, in Bohemian Rhapsody. The biopic swept the board at awards season with an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture and winning Best Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes. Other screen credits include Versailles, Shetland, Lewis, Silk, Life Isn’t All Ha Ha Hee Hee, Cardiac Arrest, Bend it Like Beckham and EastEnders.
