Antony Starr stars as Homelander in the Amazon Prime Video original series “The Boys.”

Recently, Starr starred in the independent feature “Gutterbee,” directed by Ulrich Thomsen, where he plays the lead role of Mike opposite Earl W. Brown and Ewan Bremner.
In 2012, Starr was seen in the Australian independent film “Wish You Were Here,” opposite Joel Edgerton, Teresa Palmer and Felicity Price. The film, directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith, opened the 2012 Sundance Film Festival as part of the World Dramatic Competition to rave reviews and received a Grand Jury Prize nomination. The film centers on four friends who lose themselves in a carefree Southeast Asian holiday. Released in Australia in the summer of 2012, the film received eight AACTA Nominations from the Australian Film Institute, and garnered Starr a Best Supporting Actor Award. The Film Critics Circle of Australia also voted him Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the film.
In 2011, Starr was featured in the fourth season of the popular Australian drama series, “Rush.” He starred as Charlie Lewis, the team leader of a Police Tactical Response team.
In 2010, Starr appeared in the critically acclaimed independent film “After The Waterfall,” directed by Simon Horrocks. He portrayed John, a forest ranger who is haunted by the disappearance of his four-year-old daughter and the subsequent breakup of his marriage. Starr received a Best Actor AFTA Award/New Zealand Film & Television Award nomination for his work in the film.
Also in 2010, Starr was seen starring in the New Zealand television series “Spies & Lies,” adapted from the book “The Plot” to Subvert Wartime New Zealand by Hugh Price, for which he received another Best Actor AFTA Award/New Zealand Film & Television Award nomination.
In 2005, Starr was cast in the dual roles of twins Van and Jethro West in “Outrageous Fortune,” a show that has grown into the most popular and longest running drama series in New Zealand’s history. Playing twins won Starr the 2007 Air New Zealand Screen Award for Best Performance by and Actor, and Best Actor at the Asian TV Awards in the same year. Readers of TV Guide also voted him Best Actor in 2007 and TV Guide’s Best on the Box People’s Choice Award.
Starr currently resides in Los Angeles.
