Cast Detail: Chris Downey

Chris Downey began his writing career as a newspaper reporter covering crime and government on Florida’s Gulf Coast. After law school, Downey was a law clerk for a federal judge in Miami and later worked as a criminal defense attorney in New York City. Pivoting from crime to TV, Downey began his career in half-hour comedies, including Lateline, What About Joan and six seasons on The King of Queens. He then co-created (with John Rogers) the Dean Devlin-produced caper series Leverage for TNT and now, Leverage: Redemption for IMDb TV. Downey has been an executive producer on TNT’s King & Maxwell, USA’s Suits and Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., Syfy’s Incorporated and ABC’s Station 19. Downey is co-executive producer of Netflix’s upcoming series adaption of Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer.
