Diego Luna is a theater, film and television actor, director and producer. He has participated in more than 30 feature films produced in Mexico, Spain, United States, England and Germany, among which are Y tu mama tambien, directed by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón; Milk (2008), by Gus van Sant; Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One (2016) and the Netflix series Narcos México (2018), for which he was nominated at the Critic Choice Awards. In 2007 he directed his first feature film, the documentary J.C. Chávez; hence the feature films Abel (2010), César Chávez (2014) and Mr. Pig (2016).

In 2018, together with his partner Gael García Bernal, he launched La Corriente del Golfo, a company dedicated to the production of film, theater, television and social projects. His first production, the Pan & Circo series, was released on August 7, 2020 by Amazon Prime Video, presenting a rarely seen format: the ritual of sharing a meal as a space to converse and gather different points of view.
