Garrett Hedlund has had a multitude of starring roles since he made an auspicious debut as part of the all-star cast in Wolfgang Petersen’s Troy with Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom and Diane Kruger when he was just 18 years old.
This February, Hedlund will co-star as Harry Anslinger in Lee Daniels’ The United States Vs. Billy Holiday from Paramount Pictures. His most recent work includes Netflix’s Triple Frontier, co-starring Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Oscar Isaac, Adria Arjona, and Pedro Pascal, and the independent film Dirt Music filmed in Australia.
In the award-winning film for Netflix, Mudbound, Hedlund co-starred with Mary J. Blige, Carey Mulligan and Jason Clarke. Directed by Dee Rees and based on the Hillary Jordan novel, the cast won the Robert Altman Award at the Spirit Awards as well as the Breakthrough Cast Award at the Hollywood Film Awards. The film received numerous award recognitions, including Academy Award nominations for Best Ci
