Hector’s debut music video for RAY BLK’s ’50/50’ is emblematic of the cultural commentary his work is dedicated to. It went on to capture the zeitgeist and win the UKMVA for Best Urban Music Video in 2016. He was also nominated for Best New Director in the same year. Since then Hector has worked with some of music’s biggest acts including Adele, Skepta, Stormzy, Dizzee Rascal and Jorja Smith,

Since then Hector has worked with some of music’s biggest acts including Adele, Skepta, Stormzy, Dizzee Rascal and Jorja Smith, as well as breakthrough artists such as Bakar, Sam Fender and tendai. Many of these are also on-going creative collaborations, the most recent of which saw Hector spending months immersed behind the scenes on Post Malone’s ‘Runaway’ tour shooting his documentary feature which is coined for release in 2021.
His work in Commercials has paired him up with the likes of Balmain, Adidas, Nike and The North Face and his debut narrative short film ‘Goldfish’ is a poignant and timely exploration into the knife crime epidemic in inner city London. The project earned him BAFTA and BIFA nominations as well as winning Best Short Film at LFF and a Silver YDA. Now Hector looks to explore further into long-form, as he looks to director a feature film, he co-written a with his sister, Laura Dockril.
