Pom Boyd stars in Frank of Ireland playing the character of Mary Marron. She is an award-winning writer and performer. Her hit theatre show, Shame (National Theatre of Ireland - Abbey Theatre 2018), was nominated for three Dublin Fringe Festival awards, including Best Performer for Boyd.

Boyd’s most recent film credits include Rialto by Mark O'Hallorhan (2020) and Rosie by Roddy Doyle (2019). In 2019 Boyd played the role of Maggie in the Irish Film and Television Award-winning play This Beautiful Village (National Theatre - Abbey Theatre). In 2020 Boyd reprised the role of Maggie for the online version This Beautiful Virtual Village.

Most recently Boyd’s much loved comedy creation, The Windy Lady, has streamed on YouTube due to the cancellation of two live performance tours for 2020 and 2021 due to the covid pandemic.
