Samuel Anderson is an English actor who can most recently be seen as Detective Paul Wilkie in the critically acclaimed Sky original true crime drama Landscapers, opposite Olivia Coleman and David Thewlis. Anderson is also known for his TV breakthrough in 2014 with a recurring role as Danny Pink in the iconic BBC series Doctor Who and as a series regular in the popular Sky comedy Trollied from 2014-17.
Anderson started out in Emmerdale and in 2004 originated the role of Crowther in the hugely successful Alan Bennett play The History Boys about students at a fictional Sheffield grammar school preparing for their exams. Anderson toured the production internationally and developed it into a feature film version starring opposite James Corden.

In 2019, Anderson stars as an Artificial intelligence hologram in the Netflix sci-fi series Another Life about a UFO that lands on earth and scientists’ attempts to communicate with the alien life.
In 2021 Anderson appeared in stylish action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake starring Karen Gillan and Paul Giamatti and in Sweetheart which won the Audience Award at Glasgow Film Festival.
