After rescuing her family, clearing her name, and returning to “normal” life, former FBI agent Emily Byrne (Stana Katic) is still riddled with guilt and self-doubt, struggling with the unknown of what truly happened to her during her years of captivity. Hungry for answers, Emily chases down leads with the help of BPD Detective Tommy Gibbs (Angel Bonanni) but only finds more questions.
When a homegrown terrorist attack rocks Boston, the city’s FBI Field Office springs into action to find he perpetrator. Special Agent Nick Durand (Patrick Heusinger) leads the search for the domestic terrorist, working alongside Special Agent-In-Charge Derek Crown (Christopher Colquhoun) and new profiler, Special Agent Julianne Gunnarsen (Natasha Little). Meanwhile, Emily’s investigation into her past becomes a hunt for a serial killer whose crimes have been overlooked in the citywide chaos. When the serial killer claims a victim close to Emily, she returns to the FBI to hunt him down, partnering with Special Agent Cal Isaac (Matthew Le Nevez) a former Navy SEAL with a personality that runs counter to Emily’s.
The FBI’s two investigations collide when it is discovered that there is a far bigger conspiracy at hand. The trail of clues amidst the global hunt will lead Emily back to her own fractured family – forcing her to overcome her past trauma and protect the ones she loves.

Character Descriptions
Tommy Gibbs is the ambitious, relentless Boston police detective who helmed the manhunt for Emily Byrne. Months after its conclusion, Tommy finds himself again drawn to Emily, this time as a confidant. As the pair unravels a long-held secret, they soon find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a killer.
Special Agent-In-Charge Derek Crown struggles to manage Boston’s FBI office through the aftermath of a terrorist attack while dealing with a serial killer wreaking havoc throughout the city. Will he be able to survive the complications of his personal relationship with reporter, Erica Lyle, and his professional rivalry with FBI profiler, Julianne Gunnarsen?
Flynn is the pre-teen son of Nick Durand and Emily Byrne. He lives with his parents, Nick and Alice, but he is growing closer to his long-missing mother, Emily. Meanwhile, the trauma from his own abduction continues to rear its head, and he struggles to maintain a hard-won peace.

Julianne Gunnarsen is a chilly FBI agent brought to the Boston Field Office to help capture the perpetrator of a deadly terrorist attack. Equal parts accomplished and enigmatic, she doesn’t restrict her profiling prowess to just her terrorist target; she also analyzes those around her. And it’s not long before her gaze turns to her partner, Special Agent Nick Durand.
Dr. Semo Oduwale is a kind Nigerian therapist who runs Boston’s premier trauma therapy group for children – which includes Flynn Durand as a member. His years of experience keep him calm and composed in the toughest situations. Affable and supportive of the people around him, he keeps his own life closely guarded.
Alice Durand has emerged from her ordeal with a newfound resilience and desire to protect her family at all costs. Motivated by the domestic terror attack, she resumes work as a grief counselor, finding meaning in her career even as it threatens to drive a wedge into her relationship with Nick.
