In the late 90s, Francisco de Assis Pereira became known worldwide as the “Park Maniac” for the killing and raping of several women in São Paulo. Now, the story of the serial killer who shocked Brazil is retold from the perspective of the survivors and families of the victims. Through unpublished testimonies which reveal mistakes in the investigation of the case that prevented an early arrest of the killer, the documentary series shines a light on Brazil's structural machismo and brutal media sensationalism.
