Emily Browning, Caitlin Stasey, Megan Smart and Cast of Class of ’07 Reunite For Australian Premiere

SYDNEY – 15 March 2023 – They may star in a comedy about a high school reunion from hell, but the cast of Australian Amazon Original series Class of ’07 were having a ball when they reunited at the Australian Premiere of the series tonight in Sydney.

They were joined by award-winning Australian writer and director Kacie Anningwho serves as creator and executive producer, writer, and director on the series. Further attendees at the screening included Alexander England, Millie Ford and Jack Vidgen. 

Class of ‘07 is a comedy about a never-ending high school reunion with life-and-death stakes. When an apocalyptic tidal wave hits during the 10-year reunion of an all-girls high school, a group of women must find a way to survive atop the island peak of their high school campus. Now freshly entangled in decade-old drama, their greatest threat to survival isn’t the end of the world, but each other. 

Class of ‘07 will launch exclusively on Prime Video this Friday in Australia and more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

The series is produced by Matchbox Pictures, part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, with Amazon Studios. Mimi Butler is the producer and executive producer, while Alastair McKinnon and Debbie Lee serve as executive producers for Matchbox Pictures.

Since 2019, Prime Video has commissioned 25 Amazon Original series in Australia—The Test S1-S2, Making Their Mark, a series of 10 stand-up comedy specials by some of Australia’s best comedians, LOL: Last One Laughing Australia with Rebel Wilson, Back to the RaftersLuxe Listings Sydney S1 - S3, The Moth Effect, Head Above Water, award-winning feature-length documentary BurningKick Like Tayla, Warriors On The Field and upcoming Class of ’07DeadlochThe Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, and the first Australian Amazon Original movie Five Blind Dates. Newly announced titles Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles, Dance Life, The Defenders, Hugh van Cuylenburg: G.E.Malong with a series of five stand-up comedy specials will be released this year.
