SYDNEY – 31 May 2023 – Creators Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan along with cast including Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, Tom Ballard and Susie Youssef were having a killer time as they walked the black carpet for the Australian Premiere of upcoming comedy crime series Deadloch tonight in Sydney.

Cast including Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, Tom Ballard, Alicia Gardiner, Susie Youssef, , Duncan Fellows, Harvey Zielinski, Shaun Martindale, Katie Robertson, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Mia Morrissey, Leonie Whyman, Holly Austin, Kartanya Maynard and more, were in attendance to celebrate the series, which releases globally on Prime Video this Friday, June 2. Award winning duo Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan (Get Krack!n, The Katering Show), who created, wrote and executive produced the series were also in attendance. Other notable attendees include Narelda Jacobs, Justin Hill, Richard Reid and Danijela Dacic.

Cinematic, thrilling, mysterious, and moody, Deadloch puts a high-comedy spin on the crime genre and questions Australia’s relationship with truth, gender, and race, while keeping you guessing (and laughing) at every turn. 

The Tasmanian town of Deadloch, a once sleepy seaside hamlet, is left reeling when a local man turns up dead on the beach. Two female detectives are thrown together to solve the case: Fastidious local senior sergeant Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and a rough-as-guts blow-in from Darwin, senior investigator Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) along with their overeager junior constable Abby (Nina Oyama). As the town prepares to launch the annual arts, food, and culture event—Winter Feastival—the trio have to put their differences aside and work together to find the killer. 

Deadloch will launch exclusively on Prime Video this Friday in Australia and more than 240 countries and territories around the world. 

Deadloch is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions, and Amazon Studios. The series is written by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, along with Kim Wilson, Christian White, Anchuli Felicia King, Kristy Fisher, and Madeleine Sami.
